9 people hadn't been paid for 100 days of work done under MGNREGA. 6 months later, they finally received their dues - with the help of a video that community correspondent Navita Devi made on this issue. She screened this video to mobilize the community and then to the Panchayat Rojgaar Sevak & Village Head at the local Panchayat office to discuss the issue. The PRS, Varun Kumar Rai promised to get the money transferred as soon as it is disbursed from the state office. He even got their bank accounts started meanwhile, as many didn't have one. All 9 of them received their money directly in their bank accounts, as per the Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Act.
